Light A Candle is a mobile application designed to facilitate a virtual religious experience, allowing users to light candles or offer prayers at their preferred place of worship remotely. This service caters to individuals who may lack the time to physically visit a church but wish to engage in spiritual practices nonetheless.

Users have the option to make a donation alongside their prayer or candle lighting, although participation in donations is voluntary. Of the total donation, approximately 95% is allocated directly to the selected church, with the remaining 5% covering processing and administrative fees. When payments are processed, the donation amount is transferred directly to the church’s account, with the donor's name clearly displayed. Donations can be made in any amount, and if payment is completed via a PayPal account, an additional 3% processing fee is added to the donation.

The platform is designed to be inclusive of diverse religious groups. If a user does not see their church listed, they are encouraged to contact us for assistance. The app also provides search functionalities using zip codes, town names, or geographical locations for ease of access.

Additionally, Light A Candle offers a companion website where users can view upcoming events from various churches and be directed to their respective sites for further engagement. We welcome any suggestions for improving the application to better serve our community's spiritual needs.
